Acupuncture is effective against hot flushes

A newly published study shows that acupuncture is an effective treatment against hot flushes in women treated for breast cancer. Research has shown that acupuncture reduces both the frequency and intensity of hot flushes and simultaneously improves the quality of sleep. Researchers found that most study participants described acupuncture treatments as relaxing. Researchers also noted that the results show that acupuncture is effective, safe and has no drug related adverse side effects.
